my friend at work just sent me a link for a one day sale at Dell a few minutes ago. hopefully not too late in the day for some of you.

configurations and options are fairly flexible.

I did a search for Dell and the most recent posting was about the BOGO (buy one, get one half-off) deal. this is a little better if you don't want to buy 2 laptops at a time to get some savings.

How is that a deal? If you paid just a bit more you could have got a brand new one.

I just priced this against a configuration I ordered a few days ago. Price seems to be the exact same. I'm not sure what fuzzy math Dell uses to call this a "sale", but it seems to be nothing more than their standard pricing/discounts.

yes, the Best Buy deal is very good. it's about $55 more for the same setup in the sale under the offered "Better" configuration at Dell's sale.

but I mainly posted the link for the "Best" deal on the Studio 15 and not so much for the Inspiron.

the Studio 15 (with Radeon) at Dell is $55 cheaper than the same Best Buy config (with X3100), plus you have the options for LED or full HD display, 7200rpm HD, BD, etc.

A "bit more"?? I configured a new one online and it was over $900! I think I did fantastic with the $606 for refurb. And refurbs are great computers - they have been checked over twice now. Anyway, I'm happy...

Conambo is correct. you got robbed. & I'm not kidding
brand new like your config is around 500+tax+free ship. last week it was even lower.
and no, if it's refurb, it needs to be over 50-60%+ off the msrp to consider an ok buy.
chip,
