Seems to be dead. I added it to cart and as I was checking out, I noticed (when I clicked back to read description again) that the price changed to $249. Luckily it was still in my cart at $140 (plus $9 tax) so I continued and it let me purchase at that price.

Thank you OP!
I needed a A/C for my summer cottage, this is cheap and fits the bill!
The low usage will "hopefully" make this unit last a while.

It appears that many stores in MI (48180) have the unit in stock. ~update~

Good price but buyer beware, I owned one of these for 2 weeks and had to return it. The claim of 8000 btu was not accurate in my opinion as it would not cool the area I was using it in. I replaced it with an 8000 btu window unit and it easily cooled the area, so ymmv on effectiveness.

I have a 10000btu unit and it cools like a 7000 btu window unit..

so its about 70% as effecient as the window unit..

Customer Service just called after I placed my order for IS pick up. He informed me that since it was a large item I would need to p/u tomorrow, to give them time to get it down...
Got a $24.00 Gift Card waiting with this!! YES!

Ordered 2 last night and picked this morning. It's a very good price for a portable. Inevitably someone post about how their window units will blow these away. The portables serve their purpose if you need to take it from room to room quickly. Also, like in my case, our homeowner association nazis don't allow A/C boxes hanging from our windows. The noise isn't too bad...but it's all relative. Expect windnoise if you have it on and the compressor is going to kick on and off to cool your room. So far, it seems to blow cooler air than my 9000BTU Hier portable unit. For $140, if you need one, get it.

Available in ABQ

I have an Amcor portable unit, similar to this one, and it works well enough for the medium size bedroom I have it in. Went ahead and bought this one, as I can use it in my home office it's less than half the price of the one I got at Home Depot.
