Oh no. I bought last week for 17.99 after rebate. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks OP great price.

Thanks OP,

Can I use it for my Toshiba M35X, which has DDR PC 2700.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer.

Me too. I think there is nothing we can do because this price is $30, it is a few bucks more than last week before rebate. They don't match price after rebate.

Yes, the PC3200 will operate at PC2700 speeds.

Yeah, I just grabbed the PC2700 for $14 AR (just came minutes ago actually). Not a huge difference in price or performance, but I would've preferred this.

Just as an FYI. Some of the users over on SD has reported that the rebate does not begin until tomorrow even though Frys has it listed as today. They are not sure if it is just a mix up at Frys but apparently phone reps are telling people to wait until tomorrow to order. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Buy 1 more to average the cost to (17.99+10.99)/2
But at this price and rebate's date, you need to get it at 12:01am 08/15/08 or it will be sold out quickly.

I will wait till tomorrow - I have always gotten my Crucial rebates, but it plainly says on the rebate form the 15th. Why invite a headache?

If you have to wait until 8/15/08 12:01 am to order ... which time zone do you have to wait for? I'm in FL. If they are in CA, will I have to wait until 3:01 am my time, so the order shows 12:01 am?

It might be a silly question.... I have a Emachines T2958 and it says the memory is DDR PC2700... Can I upgrade with this RAM which is PC3200? What does that number signify? Both seems to 184-pin...

Yes, as I wrote above, PC3200 will clock at PC2700; however, PC2700 will not work in place of PC3200.

My Computer is emachine T2692 (I bought it on Thanksgiving Day some years ago). This computer uses DDR PC2100. Currently I have 512MB (2 banks, each 256MB) and it is ungradeable to 2GB (2 banks, 1 GB each).

Could I use PC3200 in my computer?

Thanks for your input.

My experience with my computer which uses PC2700 --- When I tried to put 2 PC3200 1GBs in there it would only recognize 1GB. However when I put in 1 PC2700 & 1 PC3200 it recognized both of them for a total of 2 GB.

You might get a similiar experience in your PC2100 situation. I'm no expert & just guessing here.

Called Crucial and I was told that "Yes", I can replace PC2100 with PC3200. The computer will adjust the memory speed to a lower speed of PC2100.
