Bosch PS40-2A 12 Volt Max Lithium-Ion Impact Driver $126.97 shipped @ Amazon Archived From: Hot Deals |
can this be used on cars? like to take off lug nuts?
Don't know. Most car tires if they have a new set of tires or a shop has installed the wheels, it will be on the car too tight and you'll need a breaker bar to take those wheels off, but if you've installed the wheels on yourself by hand...maybe. Notice the in.-lbs of max torque stated in specs as opposed to ft./lbs.
For comparison:
Ingersoll-Rand
Craftsman Professional 1/2 in. Impact

No, this is 1/4" impact driver for screws. You'd need an impact wrench for wheel lugs. It worked great last weekend removing some old screws. The PS40 made a loud ratcheting sound, but backed the screw out just fine. I tried my trusty 18v drill/driver for comparison and started stripping the heads.
Not a bad price for those that didn't get one from Home Depot clearance last month.
btw it's a part of gb lineup!

They are exactly the same. 12v MAX is 10.8V. Bosch claimed that their 10.8V litheon battery reaches 12V after fully charged. They just "re-marketed" the Litheon product line and changed the label. This was the reason the 10.8V boxes were on clearance and they gave away the PS20 with PS40 after mail-in rebate. They're getting rid of the ones that labeled 10.8V. The new 12V PS20 hardware got updated. But the 12V PS40 and PS10 are exactly the same as 10.8V ones.
