I own and wear a Men's Mio, and I do very much appreciate that I do not (ever) have to wear a chest strap in order to keep track of my pulse. The downside is that you cannot follow your pulse in real time, which is actually a safety feature in my mind as it prevents the wearer from constantly gawking at their pulse rate and, say, getting hit by a bus.
