Rebate? You mean the 12% MS Live Search CashBack? I think it should work. I know paypal worked fine with live.com so I assumed there shouldn't be any problem with GCO. To be safe, sign in to your live.com account first before you click on the J&R link. |

Nice deal for for the XP model..... I have the 512/ 8 gb SSd model now and I love it, but I was hoping to use it to access my company VPN and I can't get a NORTEL Linux VPN client. Count me in for one too! |

Just my personal preference. your post is pointless, and doesn't add anything here is a 32 gig SSD, not 120 gig like the system has OH ITS 400 bucks. http://www.Newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147053 it will be at least a year probably more before they get anywhere near reasonable. |

I have the Acer (with 6cell battery) and an Eee 1000H (10 inch model, which has an even bigger battery), and the Acer has way better runtime right out of box (without ajusting any settings). 6 hours is easily achieved and maybe even 7 (never tried yet). And never get hot. Only knock is keyboard width which could be wider but it is still manageable if you bring fingers closer. This is an awesome deal. |

On the subject of SSD vs. HD, while running Windows the SSD used by Acer and Eee are all slower than HD. Putting files on SSD is also slow. So after testing all 4 (Acer SSD vs. HD, Eee SSD vs. HD) I went with HD in both. SSD may be good for anti vibration, but if vibration is that bad, you are not going to be able to type or see much from the little LCD. And according to spec SSD does not consume any less battery than HD. I know it makes no sense (since SSD doesnt spin or seek like HD), but so far it has not come out ahead of HD in speed or power consumption (at least in this particular Acer). |

I'm going through MSN live if that makes any difference. |

This looks to be a deal I want to take advantage of. However I am not a fatwallet pro and can not figure out how this CashBack works. Can someone walk me though it for this product? |

It's fine, I just try both again, through MS Live Search. Got to the final stage (Complete Order). You could try another computer so see if that help. |
