+R

-R

Edit to captitalize both Rs

I find the +Rs burn faster on my laptop than the -Rs but that's the only difference I've found. -Rs used to play on more setop DVD players, but I've not encountered that lately.

That's the cheapest I've seen them in the 100-packs. Let's hope they actually have them in stock and that they aren't made in India's.

what's wrong with india disks? i've never seen them, i usually see thailand, taiwan, and so on, but the quality remains the same. why would verbatim ruin their reputation at this point of their existence by selling substandard goods that have a lifetime warranty?

Don't we just have the Sony 100-pack BOGO for $30 from costco? that is $15 for 100 disks.

First of all it's Verbatim which is the paramount of media.
Second, not everyone has costco membership.

Does Best Buy have a 110% price match? If so, BB sells 100 spindle Verbatim for $56. With the 110% price match, that would bring the price down to $16.40.

Hey all, CC has philip brand 16x DVD+/- 50-pack for 9.99 (or 19.98 for 100), anyone know which brand is better?

In the old days, you probably don't even have to think about it...Verbatim hand down. However, given the track record of these recent Verbatim patches, Verbabtim may still be ahead, but not by much.

However, given the track record of these recent Verbatim patches, Verbabtim may still be ahead, but not by much. I heard they might be made in India now. When this started, the rock solid dependablility suffered. At least this is what I read in various forums. Still I would trust Verbatim branded disks about the best.

I meant as far as verbatims. Pretty much the only brand I use.

There has been a lot of talk that the India made discs are inferior to the Sinapore/Taiwan made. I've seen people say they get quite a bit more errors on the India made discs. Think the problem has been 'worse' in the dual-layer dics. I have yet to buy any myself, so far have still had Singapores available. Last trip to best buy recently all DL & -R's were India and +R's were still Singapore.

Even if they are India I'd certainly pick up 1 to try them. Having burned thousands of Verbatim discs over the years must have less than 30-50 coasters, so for past experience Verbatim has been 2nd to none for me.

Now that is great information. I'll have to stop by and pick some of the pluses up.
