Hi First POST.

Got one Dell XPS M1330 brand new for 649.9 at local Staples store. Its clearance price nd was marked down from original 749.99.

Config is: Intel C2D 1.6Ghz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 13.3" with 2MP camera, Bluetooth, Black panel.

Sounds like a good deal for laptop under 4lbs.

Ending .90 = regional clearance.

Good deal if you can find it!

Thumbs down...this laptop was on clearence at BestBuy over 2 months ago, for $539.99.

proof or it didnt happen, stop thread crapping. this is a good deal nonetheless

$540 for this one seems almost impossible. How come I never heard about it?

Good deal. I just picked up one of the XPS 15 inchers that finally shipped today from a FW deal.

I know that Best Buy services Dells sold through them. Who services the ones sold through Staples? I might go look at this one as I can send the 15 incher back if I can get one of these.

alert mods

Not knocking the deal, as it's a good price, but the M1330 has the video card that NVidia has stated may have build issues. I recommend any potential buyers review the posts at NotebookReview before buying.

The threat of this problem was enough to drive me away from it.

For this price, I think they will come with gma x3100.

If it comes with 8400, I will run to OP's location and pick that up.

Staples machine is for 649$. Its 120GB not 160GB.

Best Buy had machine for 599.99$. However it was 15.4". Staples machine is 13.3"

Best Buy machine was initially 599.99 and a week later rang up 539.99.

I bought 2 of them during May.

Does this have HDMI with the x3100? Is the battery 4 or 6 cell?

If thats the deal FishyFlush was talking about then you and him are seriously misunderstanding the importance of the difference in portability between a 15" and a 13" lappy. <15 inch notebook always run a premium in price compared to the standard 15".

alert mods

No I am not misunderstanding the importance of the portability.

I am informing "borednlazynick" that 539.99 deal was real in Best Buy but it was for 15.4"

Staples 649.99 deal is for 13.3" and its HDD is 120GB. 100$ more is the price for portability.

OP, did this have the 8400M nvidia GPU, or was it the intel x3100? Thanks!

You didn't hear about it because "Fish" is wrong. It was the M1530 not the M1330 and it was about 4 months ago... Link

I knew he was wrong.
That's why I was saying the price is impossible and I never heard of such a deal.

I bought one of these at 749 2 months ago and am really liking it. Work on it in the car while in the passenger seat and works great. Thought it was a very professional kit when I got it. Really nice and is perfect size for spreadsheets while on the go. Would love to get it for 649, really nice machine. Dont run games or heavy graphics, spreadsheets and databases, so I cant tell you about the video. When I got mine there was no one selling it close to that price.

RE:

The add says
was $1149.98

My closest has the one and only they have had for months.
The used display model.

Manager said get there early and she will check other stores for stock and will have it sent to me.
But it must be sealed....
Hopefully she finds me a few.
Don't forget Staples has the Vista Ultimate Upgrade for
$69.99 or less with a pc purchase. (I eBay them)

You're going to see Dell clearing house on a lot of stuff in the near future. Their entire lattitude line is going bye-bye over the next few months for the new E-series.

While the E-series is business oriented, they're MUCH more 'slick' and 'cool' than the current biz laptops and...heck probably cooler than the M or XPS series too.

Not trying to threadcrap, just saying more good deals are coming too so if this isn't your ideal lappy then just wait a bit.
