ive had my 3g for 3 days and i love it but without doubt its power hungery. i hate to think that i have to buy a case, screen covers, chargers etc...well this eases the pain a bit... usb car charger for 1.10...nice!

Reviews state that this doesn't work with the iPhone even with the original cable or aftermarket cable. Can anyone confirm?

My old car charger for my iPhone v1.0 does NOT work with my car charger for the 3G... so I'm guessing something like this might not as well... The 3g is just pickier or more power hungry? Don't know what, but it refuses to charge off of it

From another forum. I don't have an iphone, so I can't verify it, but this would explain why some chargers don't work.

...iphone 3G requires not only that a 5volt 1amp charge be applied to the charging contacts of the USB cable, but also that a reference voltage be applied to the data contacts, to tell it to accept a charge...
