Darn...live increased the CashBack to 15% now...ewww...

Agreed. I have this camara for over two months and love it.

Question, though, how do you play back? It seems only playing back with the camera hooked directly to TV can give the best image. I tried to play the files on computer, even my Dell dual core 2.8G has jittering problem.

To play back with HF100, you must keep the whole file/fold structure it was originally recorded. Otherwise it won't play.

I heard people playing the video with Sony PS3 using USB drive. But I don't have one.

Any other ideas?

I bought the class 6 Kinston 8 gig SD card for 32 bucks on Amazon(and Buy.com). This gives about 45 minutes at the highest quality. That card plus the 2 gig I had gives me plenty of recording at a good price.

J&R CashBack on Live.com is showing 6% for me. Can anyone confirm that it has gone down from 15% or am I looking at the wrong place? Thanks.

Yeah, it went down. Probably have to wait until black Friday for another sale.

I got my order from J and R and was wondering...was the hand strap already on the HF100 camcorder already? Mine was already on and I am not sure if it's been used before. Also when I tried to playback the video using mini-HDMI to HDMI to my tv, the pictures were shaky. I had to hold the mini-HDMI side tight to the camcorder to get a good picture. Nervous if I should return it. Thanks.

The HF100 comes with the hand strap already on... I can't speak about the shaky picture issue, though.

I understand what you're saying, though.. because the camera is running you near $600 and you want to make sure there is no previous history, like somebody's kid dropped the camera and they returned it, and there were no marks on it, but might, somehow affect the performance in the long run or whatever the situation might have been...
I'm not saying this is true - but I understand what you're saying - some people are not in a financial position to just go and pick up another camera a year down the line.
