Bought the steamer and sewing machine in store. Both rang up at $12.99. FYI. The sewing machine was not with the other 'appliances', but in a separate sewing area one aisle away. FWIW. The steamer looks high quality. Probably built in the same plant as the famous Scuzzi steamers. I tested it out and it works well to clean crevices, like around sink faucets. |

Tried the steamer a little more. Here are my thoughts on the usefulness relative to chemical cleaners and rags. Is it quicker? NO. You still have to wipe up the mess. Does it clean better? Depends. On some items it 'melts' the dirt off and leaves a great shine after wiping. On other surfaces it does little (ex. thick soap scum in tub). Is it cheaper? Even with electricity factored in, I imagine it would be cheaper than buying commercial cleaning chemicals. Is it healthier? YES. No harsh chemicals needed. Would I use it on every cleaning job? NO. Probably only when I had a tough cleaning problem or needed steam. Is it worth $3 + tax AR? YES. P.S. I tried the window squeegee thing. It did not remove all the soap scum from my bathroom window and you still had to wipe the window to remove the water. P.S.S. It may be handy to have if you needed steam for some other purpose. |

Bought the steamer in Greenville, SC. It rang up $12.99, requested easy saver catlog booklet. Registered at walgreens.com and submitted rebate claim online. The RFN is at the top of the in-store receipt. Thanks OP. |

When attached, the extension hose is a much looser fit than is the straight nozzle. When I was testing it, the hose loosened and turned and the pressure caused the hose to shoot out. When I plugged the hose back in, I had to keep attention on not letting the hose turn again. Very easy to turn... Is that normal for anyone else's cleaner? |

Got one in store. I am so happy it'll cost only like cup of ice cream I am always fascinated how in the infomercials all cleaning is a breeze. One or two seconds, boom, already clean. "even the toughest stains" (Billy, Billy, I know he might not have pimped this type of product...) Like one poster mentioned, it will not touch old soap scums, and this is why I got this unit. The product has smell of 99 cents store, I guess it will dissipate with time. Regarding not using chemicals: I just saw a rerun of King of the Hill. The wife is trying a project of community ORGANIC garden. The tomatoes are attacked by pests. She tried everything according to what her mentor told her. No luck. So she goes to her mentor to ask for advice. Answer: use the damn chemicals already EDIT: The TV show was King of the Hill not Family Guy. |

Just got one at a local store. The shelf price was $29.99, but it rang up $12.99. Thanks, OP!!!! (BTW--Walgreen's adds an extra 10% to your rebate total if you choose a giftcard instead of a check.) |

i bought one of these like 6 months ago. It sure doesnt work like it is shown on tv. Not that good of a cleaner. The stuff this works on could be easily wiped away with a wet towel. Anyways |

Picked one up today. Decided to take a chance since my rommie uses bar soap which leaves a heavy residue in the shower. That being said, my unit sure likes to make a high pitched squeal when heating up. Is this a common issue, or should I return in for another unit? |

Is that normal for anyone else's cleaner? I was just noticing that too! Hot Steam Pressure + loose connection = Let the wife test it out! |

Please, no red. I have a little sunburn already. A sincere question: There was a product called 'the shark' or something similar a while back. It was promoted in TV ads and seemed to be a little larger than this, maybe? At any rate, it had racked up horrible reviews due to leaking and a litany of other problems. So, to cut to the chase, how does this steamer stack up? Also, how does it compare to the Scrunchie or whatchamajigger thingamabob that someone else referred to (that also got horrid reviews)? TIA. |
