So, this is definitely not a hot deal
I really don't understand why people don't just move on when they don't think a deal is "hot", but decide to inject us with misinformed statistics. Pdiggity, Hollywood called, they want you to join Al Gore and Michael Moore in creating Fakeumentaries based on dreamed up facts.
Do we thing inflation is a myth?? No, we don't thing [sic] inflation is a myth, most adults accepts it as a way of life.
Since that time (2000), gas has tripled Let's really look at these numbers, in 2000, a gallon of gas was $1.50 and a barrel of oil was $27.39. Now a gallon of gas is 4.10 (just a bit lower than your triple statement) but a barrel of oil is $114. The COST of oil went up 4 times.
Historic Gas Price Historic Oil Price
Cigarettes have nearly tripled I don't know where you are getting your cigarettes from. My smokes used to cost 3 bucks a pack in 2000 and I am for sure no paying 9 dollars a pack today. That's not to mention the reason for it being the amount of taxes I have to pay because people who smoke (or use to smoke) and/or has died since not taking responsibility for something that decided to do on their own.
energy costs are up over 30% - food costs are up at least 30% and going higher -- Real inflation (not the phony govt numbers) has logged 50% at least since then. Wow, this is a hot deal! Real inflation logged at least 50% but my energy and food cost is only 30%. Why didn't you post this earlier? Get a life and stop whining, you don't like the deal, move on. |

OP thanks for the info! Also, an interesting read from the food service individual................... No wonder his tips are so bad. I can't believe that a $10 food bill yields a $2 tip. If I leave a $2 tip the service was bad. |

I went to my local OG with my entire family of 17 and we all feasted on this deal. It was about an hour before OG closes when after the 7th round or so, OG said they ran out of pasta. WTF!?!?! I complained and told them I won't pay the bill for false advertising. So we all got out without paying a cent. Now that's a fat deal! Moral of the story? Bring as many people as possible and try to make them run out of pasta near closing time!! hahaha I left the server a tip of $20. I think that was nice of me. More than $1 per person. |

Ha you don't live where I do you can give unbelievable service and get 1 buck on a 10 dollar bill. Its just the way it is here. People come in to get the cheapest meal we have what do you think they are going to do leave a 30% tip? Are all of my fellow servers bad servers since they all get similar tips sometimes? |

This is just in time! Tomorrow at work, we're having a "run for rabies awareness", and I need to carbo load. I'm going to have a pound and a half of fettucine alfredo beforehand! Thanks OP. |

Oh how I wish you had learned proper punctuations. Perhaps then you wouldn't be whining about tips. |

Any servers here? Why do you have the attitude you are deserving of a big tip. Convince me I even owe you one. Do you give no service to a known non tipper or the known $1.00 tipper. |

Yeah, but then you have to pay for the emergency room visit after you eat there. Not a good deal at all, unless you have a real low deductible and enjoy exploding diarrhea, then it would be an outstanding deal prasanta541 said:I am at olive garden as we speak and they said they just started this up today again. It is usually nationwide so give your local OG a call.
$8.95 for unlimited pasta of your choice. 6 types of sauces, and 6 types of pastas.
Salad/soup and breadsticks included!

Yeah its kind of weird but we serve to make money, not too be nice or for charity. They pay us 3.09 per hour as it is expected that we'll be tipped, and most people do tip us at least 15%, we aren't even allowed to claim, for tax purposes, less than 10% of our sales at the end of the day. So you saying you are barely going to tip is just plain pathetic. I never said I was deserving of a big tip but 10-20% isn't a big tip. Its normal and average. This pasta bowl and the soup and salad brings out all the cheapskates who either can't afford to tip(so they shouldn't be coming out as tipping is part of our culture) or are too cheap to tip. |
