I gotta think this is already posted but searched and didn't see it. This looks like a
feature rich TV with the latest bells and whistles. $2199 in store and online with $400 instant off coupon. I'm torn between this and the Samsung 51" 650 model.

Philips model #52PFL7403D/27
52" LCD
1080P
120Hz
4 HDMI inputs (v1.3)

While we are on this: I am wondering what people think of this one as well, on Costco
$1,899.99 After $100 Off
Sony
46" Motionflow™ 120Hz 1080p LCD HDTV
Energy Star® Compliant
Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Contrast Ratio: 16,000:1 (Dynamic)
$1,899.99

There is a $400 coupon for in store too.
Also, this TV has dynamic contrast rate 33000:1

where can I find the coupon?

Unless costco si doing independent measurements of contrast ratio now that dynamic number doesn't seem right

The contrast ratio does look to be low but the Costco site has that in the specs. The response time may not be that great either since it isn't listed in the specs. The Philips shows a really great response time (2 ms).

Raleigh NC is out of stock, but giving rainchecks.

The people there are great and let me do a return/rebuy with no problem and no product in hand. They're considering not putting coupon items out the week before anymore however. Luckily their 90 day return policy could come in handy since they publish those coupons a month or two ahead.

Where is this coupon?

quick question...I've searched AVSFORUM for a few minutes, and having trouble finding any detailed settings to optimize this TV. Any suggestions on sites that someone may have bookmarked?

I bookmarked a huge discussion on this tv at AVSFORUM. The last page has some settings and you might work backward from there for more. The Samsung LNA52A650 has a greater contrast ratio and I have a bright, well lit den so I'm leaning more toward that one, just can't find as good a deal on one. I'm tempted to try this one and if it doesn't satisfy I can take advantage of Costco's great return policy.

Looking to get the phillips, can anybody recomend it one way or the other ?

TIA

Got it. Good picture. Good price. Good features. Compared to the 52" Sony (Costco), I did like the look of the Sony a bit better. Not sure if they really bumped up the Sony settings. $100 more I MAY have gone with the Sony but for $700 more - not a chance. Worth getting. (Hey you could always wait for BF ).

Probably gonna pull the trigger this weekend if I don't see the Sammy LNA650 at a good price before sunday. Does the contrast look good enough for a brightly lit room ? It looked pretty good at the B&M under bright fluorescents. The B&M also had a tv table/stand for $199 I liked. Had a tv mount that raised the tv above table and allowed it to swivel.

Thanks just got one.
Returned my vizio 42" Plasma for $2160 credit to my card...ended up netting $200 plus this LCD.
My Vizio started to have burn-in and went with LCD instead.

Geez man, a 42" Plasma for 2160?! And it was a Vizio? How long ago did you buy that? Like 3-4 years ago? No wonder Costco changed their return policy...

Contrast looks good. The TV is in my basement. We have a combination of daylight fluorescents and can spots. Looks fine with everything on of course it looks better with just the side wall washer lights dimmed. It depends on what you are watching.

I went to costco on Monday the 25th to buy this.
So, I guess I will be the first to say it.

This coupon was valid through the 24th

DEAL DEAD

Note to OP please list valid dates of deals.
I am actually surprised no one in the FW community noticed this and mentioned the critical missing information before this deal expired.

The 47" version of this I think was 1500 at sam's club.
