Already have this machine. This is the one of the greatest AIO machine from HP. I owned this machine since last year and I paid $230 including 2-year extended warranty for it. Photosmart served me much better than the business officejet series. Stable, good features, fast. I will rate this machine 4.8 out of 5 $119 is a great price. Don't miss this.

Other than that, it looks like a decent printer except for the HP software...

Works for me. Newegg coupons generally require that you subscribe to the newsletter. What are you worried about it not combining with?
Yeah, this round of codes does NOT combine with any of the listed "combo deals" you see on the product page. You also won't get free shipping if you select a combo.

Thanks OP - I just pulled the trigger on this deal.
I also paid for the $2.99 rush processing, since I'd like to get this before the weekend. Hopefully that's not just a scam (I havent dealt with Newegg before)...

Found this on SD and jumped on it almost immediately on Tuesday. Newegg has already shipped and am supposed to receive on Friday.
I hope the wireless connectivity works well. The wife HAD to have it.

I hope the wireless connectivity works well. The wife HAD to have it. Unfortunately, wireless connectivity has been a problem on this series (C7280, C6180, etc.). You can Google it to check out the issues with wireless. A few have had success; more have not. I spent about 15 hours trying a variety of the suggested solutions on a C6180 before deciding to just share it on network.

and others haven't had a problem w/ it. think it's more their bloated sw package, which HP has always had.

I do like this printer. Pros: --small footprint for deskspace --beautiful photo printing --great scanner with the auto doc feeder (using the HP menu on PC to scan) --card slots & USB on face of the machine --easy to change cartridges --good overall All-In-One (print/copy/fax/scan [both flatbed + auto feeder on scan]
Cons: --small ink cartriges (5 x $10 list price) --irritating notifications when a color approaches empty --black copies are a "gray" tint (it must be using some of the other colors even on black) --H-P software --and...H-P software
This is a great printer. I've got the similar 6250, but would have loved this guy's fax. I wasn't aware of the wireless connectivity problems, but remember that sending data to your printer over wireless uses 2x the bandwidth (wireless bandwidth is shared, not switched; since you're sending two legs wireless, one from computer to access point, one from AP to printer, your max speed is halved). I prefer my printer connected by cable to a switch wherever possible.
Note that this guy does 8.5x24" borderless photos -- wow!

Check the settings. I'll bet you can set it to black only. It's trying to reproduce the grays using all cartridges.
--H-P software --and...H-P software
Go to HP's website. They have both the "full feature" driver and software bundle, and also a driver only download for most printers under most OSs.
Great suggestions. But, been there, done that... changing settings makes very little difference in gray shade. have used basic driver software on this 'C' series (but I'm still not a big fan of H-P printer software, sorry)

Go to search DOT live DOTcom SLASH CashBack/stores/N
Deal is still good. Bestbuy and Office Depot Sunday ads list it as $209 and I believe this is the same printer (C7250) that Costco has for $239. Thanks OP! You saved me a bundle.
I didnt need anything faster than the free 3-business day shipping, which is why I just paid for the rush processing which didnt help at all.
Even with paying that, this will take five business days to get to me. And I'm on the same coast.
Oh well.

Deal is dead

<sigh> - please read the thread b4 posting such silliness.
I puchased one and am happy with it. I did have a gotcha that others will run into. I connected mine through the network (wired) and when I went to print in duplex mode, I would get an error that the duplex unit is not installed (it is). Here's a fix that worked great for me if you experience this same issue.
This came from the IT resource center forums at HP's website:
(After the printer is installed connected through the network, simply connect the printer to the pc via a USB cable (you can leave the network connection connected). Wait for the USB drivers to install automatically. You'll see another instance of the printer with a "copy 1" after it. You can delete this instance. Change your HP C7280 printer already installed to the USB Port. Apply your settings for the printer. Print a test page for the printer and then change the port settings back to your original TCP/IP port. Remove the USB cable. Hey presto - no more STUPID popup messages about no duplexer being installed!
