I think this one is better Duracell

crazycool said:I think this one is better DuracellTo each his own for different reasons and purposes I guess ... why I don't think the Duracell you linked is better than this Kensington would be because of this:

Duracel Mobile Charger:
Product Dimensions: 6 x 5 x 4 inches, 4oz + weight of 4 AA batteries

Kensington Mobile Charger:
Battery Pack Dimensions - 4.0" x 2.2" x 0.37", Weight – 3.5 oz

For certain situations size and weight can be very important. Sometimes smaller is better!

You also need to consider how much power you need. I can't find the exact rating for the Kensington but I saw somewhere that it could add about 5 hours of talk time. This would come out to approximately 1000mAH. The Duracell's are precharged NiMH batteries which are usually around 2000mAH. So the Duracell would be heavier but could provide twice the power or even more with larger NiMH batteries.

Also, the Kensington has a power adapter to recharge the battery. The Duracell has a pop-out recharging plug. So if you include the charger, the Kensginton is probably a lot heavier.

can you buy 2 of this and get $60 rebate? form says limit 2 per item purchase per address. not sure if its 2 of each of those listed products OR only 2 products from the list per address?

anyone care to clarify this?

I picked up a couple of these from Amazon a while back. They were $51 each at the time... I've found them to come in pretty handy! They have enough juice to power laptops and other small devices. $14.99 for this unit is a steal though! Nice find OP!

I doubt that even with the wall plug the Kensington would be anywhere near the weight of the Duracell with added weight of 2 AA not to mention 4 AA rechargeable batteries in it, but I have neither to actually weigh and compare. The wall charger looks to be like a typical plastic plug-in type of wall charger typical for USB devices, which most weigh barely next to nothing anymore. I have several USB device charger wall plugs, and all of them weigh less than a single NiMH rechargeable AA battery. Still, I can't be sure how much the plug itself weighs, but I do know that the dimensions are still much slimmer and easier to carry or store in limited spaces.

I couldn't be 100% certain, but in reading the terms of the rebate, it does look like you can purchase (2) of each of the items listed on the rebate form and still receive the rebate on each one. You could try calling CircuitCity or Kensington and see what they say to be 100% certain.

Limit 2 rebate(s) or other promotional offer(s)
per item purchase
per address
