Not bad but the going price on eBay.

Long time browser / lurker. Pulled the trigger on this. I owned one of the Santoku knives, somehow lost it. Anyways, great knife, and this price is incredible, about 60% usual retail. I ordered two Santokus for gifts.

I've been wanting to pick up a cutlery set for some time. Can anyone else chime in on this deal??

Wusthof is world renowned for quality, they always rank at the top of Consumer Reports. This really is a fantastic deal. I'd recommend buying just the pieces you need. Most home cooks don't know how to use a honing steel (which hones, it does NOT sharpen, Sharpeners sharpen), so that's a waste of money. Most people only use 3 or 4 knives, chef, paring, maybe bread and utility.

I have this block set, and bought additional knives to my liking from Macys with their friends and family discount a couple years back. The knives still cost well over $300 back then. Great knives.. I would recommend them. They're very sharp and will hold an edge.. my index finger will vouch for that.

First day I had my Grand Prix Santoku, I slipped washing it and gouged my right thumb. First day I had my Global vegetable cleaver, I filleted off part of my left thumb nail. Took a pea-sized circle off the nail and barely cut the meat under it. Hurt like a sonofagun. Be careful. Or more careful than I am I guess.

sold out

Individual pieces still appear available.

. Would have loved it at that price. Any other places to buy it at?
