Every class I have this semester is asking for some type of presentation. Not to mention a few prof. will only except homework as attachment emails and will only except word. so thank you very much.

The product also has a spell-check feature. Make sure you turn it on.

Yes, because except will show up as misspelled..

Except is spelled correctly, just misused. Hopefully the grammar checker would recommend accept in place of except. BTW, if you use google toolbar the spell checker works nicely for online postings. No grammar check in the google toolbar, however .

Thank you so much for the comments. I am glad that you are making sure I am grammatically correct in making an online comment. What I meant to put was My prof. will not accept any program except word. Is that correct enough so that you do not lose sleep over it.

1) PLEASE Add to Title or summary:

You can also buy the following as priced:
Visio Pro $56
Office Language Pack $10 (Good if you want spell checkers, etc in non-English languages)
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX102113661033.aspx
Vista Ultimate Upgradde $65

2) Not that amazing of a deal if you don't need 2007 features. OpenOffice 3.0 is free & fine for the majority of users nowadays for most uses. Otherwise, a good price for the full Office.

3) For the future, keep in mind Windows 7 and Office 2009/2010 is coming.

If you sign up and go to their Windows and Office launch events, like those already passed for the 2007 products, you can pickup free copies of Windows and Office upon release. (Like I did for Office 97-2007 and Windows through Vista.)

This is great for people who aren't in a hurry to get the latest version, and an older version of Office or OpenOffice does fine for now.

4) Zoho
Thinkfree

Online Office editors also available. You don't even need to install software to be able to edit, open, and share Office documents! Simply open a web browser, visit Zoho or Thinkfree, and edit away! No need to pay or install!

Besides the full Thinkfree version, don't forget to pickup their freebie:
thinkfree Netbook version - FREE! limited time - ends Oct31!
