Garmin in partnership with Audible.com is offering a FREE copy of the audio book "Around the World in 80 Days" by Jules Verne.

It does require installing download manager and you have to create a quick account (email address required, but not verified).

It's free, so even if it isn't the audiobook of your choice, it won't cost you a cent.

If you did not get through the first time, you may want to try again.
I'm not sure if logging on to my old inactive account to complete the "purchase" may have helped.

get the file. download AudibleMediaPlayerFilter??? u can play them on windows media player.
use goldwave to convert them to mp3.

i got to where i can choose a reader device, my mio is not listed. anyone know of what format would be readable by windows media player?

PS, if you look below the install download audible software button, and choose i already have audible software, it doesnt make you download it and takes you to download page.

If it can be burnt on CD, it would work on ALL mp3 players in the market. The worse case scenario is, you would burn them on CD as CDA with the included software, then you can use iTunes to convert it to MP3 for you. Yes, iTunes is free for all you iPod haters.
