Wow! This model is barely a year old and Canon has already discontinued it, but it's still a hot camera and at this price, I think it's a steal, even if s&h is $14.95 There's a promotion on the product page at the top for free shipping if you buy two accessories for the camera. GOT ME ONE!

Be prepared for hard sales calls and then if you don't purchase anything they'll cancel your order. They also might cuss at you. That's what I've read about their store on ratings websites.

No and frankly I got hooked...I just hope it all pans out...got a confirmation email right away this morning and still nothing yet...I'll keep you posted. Honestly, I would have never ordered if I had know...I'm not a savy internet buyer and don't buy on internet often.
i too, have fallen for their "cheap price" scam - a Cannon A650IS for about $100 less than ANYONE else was selling them for (i should have known). i placed the order with no problem, but there was no confirmation copy of my order(!) as soon as i placed the order on their web site, the "sales receipt" vanished from the screen and i was left with a message that a confirmation e-mail would be sent.
the e-mail was a notification that i had to call them back to actually confirm the order - no record of my transaction. i called back, and "Steve" tried to sell me a couple of expensive extras, like chargers, batteries and an extended service plan (for about $100 just for the plan). our conversation was pleasant, no harassment. i did not order any extras.
almost instantly after hanging up the phone, i received an e-mail stating that they were "really sorry", but in between the microseconds that i said "no" to any add-ons and the time that i hung up, the warehouse had instantly run out of stock and my order was placed on backorder. after 1 month, i checked back - my order was canceled without anyone notifying me.
really, its a lesson to me to be more aware on the "interwebs"

I ordered one of these about 3 months ago, they told me it was back ordered for 6 weeks. I followed up to see where it was and they said it was back order again for another 6 weeks.
Don't expect to ever get the camera. This is just to get you in the door. Cancel your order because you will never get it.
