Hey all, my first deal!

I found the Pure Komachi II Sandwich / Bread knife at the local Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance for $4.99 last night. The knife is of good quality - made by KAI, which owns Kershaw, the excellent American knife company. It's a great knife that is marked down from ~$20 (see favorable reviews at Amazon - linked. I left with three!

Very nice.
Picked one up last night in Kennesaw, GA.
They also had other knives on sale.

The blade is interesting in that it is very rigid.
Light weight.
Handle is very comfortable.
I cubed some potatoes and it cut through smoothly.
I like it so far.
One thing is, the lavender-purple color stands out too much from my knife block.
