I did the LCDTV/Butterfly photo option using Cash Back Microsoft Live Search described above and in another thread (Fry's charges me tax in CA and it's no longer available.) I was very skeptical when I found out LCDTV was Butterfly Photo. I called when I received their email about my order and they tried to sell me a extended warranty that I turned down. For $59 I did buy the 3 to 5 day Manna shipping option since I am going out of town and couldn't wait 10 to 14 days (free shipping.) I was very nervous about all of this but it worked out great. And LCDTV/Butterfly Photo answered the phone all the time and were very helpful. And I called a lot because I was skeptical. The Manna shipping guys scheduled the delivery and arrived on time and even carried the t.v. upstairs, unboxed it and put it on my entertainment center. I plugged it in and it worked great. I tipped them $20. My Cash Back Live Search account also shows I have $154 but you can't touch it for awhile - I believe because they must make sure the transaction is fine. This turned out to be an amazing deal. I hooked up my Playstation 3 and watched a Blu-Ray - I am Legend - unbelievable! Also, hooked up my HD camcorder and watched some footage I shot - unbelievable! I called Direct TV and told them I was canceling (strategy) so they gave me $99 NFL Superfan HD, $10 off my bill for 12 months and a HD DVR with installation for free. I had previously purchased Sunday Ticket four years running. Direct TV is coming in two days. I can not wait for football season! I hope this helps someone else. I received this 52" t.v. in the five days shipping for a little over $1600 and I am very happy. I was going to order a refurbished through Second Act but they didn't have this model in stock. I did a lot of research and the Samsung 550 is my favorite in my price range. The 650 and 750 and other Samsungs seem to reflect light really bad compared to the 550. The difference in the picture is not that much and the 650 has that stupid red stripe around it. I also read that plasmas are going to be stopped manufacturing so I went LCD. I watched many of the 120 hz television and wasn't impressed. Sometimes I think it looks worse. The Samsung 550 plays Blu-rays at 24 hz 1080p and it looks better then the theater. Many thanks to this forum for alerting me to this deal. |
