this is the +7db (higher gain) version of the DLink antenna in the other DLink Antenna thread.
ANT240700 vs ANT240400

and has free shipping

so if you don't mind the rebate this is a better antenna for $.06 cheaper (after shipping)

Marginally cheaper at Buy.com after the same $20 rebate and 10% c@shback via rebation.com--- about $16 even.

Unfortunately, the rebate won't work--it's J&R, which sells it through Amazon, while the rebate form lists the valid vendors: Offer "Only Valid at:

Huh?

When I pull up the OP's link at Amazon, the product says "Shipped and sold by Amazon"---so it certainly should work.

This antenna is the ONE (and only one) deal I got a couple of years ago when CompUSA was liquidating. $7 and it improved my signal strength and coverage significantly when I attached it to my wireless router. For a desktop with a PCI wireless card, the length of the cable is also enough to place the antenna a good distance away from all the metal in the case. Those stubby black antennas are the worst, especially sticking out the back of a tower case.

This is a good deal. If I needed one right now I would jump on this.

Edit: I just checked my antenna and on the bottom I see it is the ANT24-0700. IMO a very good antenna.

I have 4 at home for different applications. Excellent signal strength. If you add on the wind surfer reflector, you are golden.
