Now that they got rid of all the good coupons and deals, they have plenty of mark-up to pass on to affiliates.

Step 1: Issue coupons. Step 2: Silently Blacklist coupon users while acting dumb. Step 3: ???? Step 4: Act like 1 & 2 never happened, while charging $55 for a case of paper "on sale"... Step 5: Profit!

Yeah, it would be great if they can bring those days back, too. and gas for 29 cents a gallon, cigarettes 19 cents a pack, chewing gum 5 cents. it would even be better if money fell out of the sky

I thought Staples gift card can only be used for in-store purchases???

TIA One is talking about buying gift cards and you're talking about using gift cards. Thats 2 diferent horses.
There are a select few people that do get a gift cards that can be used online, but its not the Cash Card that Yo're prolly think about. Under condition quoted above, it states "...purchases OR redemptions" If I am buying on online, "redemption" would mean "using"; not cashing in ?
I am looking at the Staples card: It has "Gift Card" on the left side; and on the back it says in-store only. If that is a Cash card, it sure doesn't say that.

And AGAIN, there are a few types of gift cards that can be used online, which makes does NOT make it pointless. The common Strapless gift card tht the majority of people see are the cash cards that cannot be used online, however there are a select few types of gift cards that CAN be used online and will not get you CashBack if you use it online(or B&M for that matter).

You never know when they'll pull the deal back again. They might just have no Cash Back for BF week. I hope it doesn't happen though as they'll for sure lose some business because of that, so Staples take note

True, but since they are usually in a near coupon blackout every BF week . . . doubtful.
now that i thought about it a little more, I hope Staples will have some really nice online(?) labor day deals so that we can purchase them and boost the affiliate percentage stuff for FW. While I also wish for better coupons, I don't think the desired coupons will show up. =(
Glad to see Staples is back. To be honest, when Staples left, many people here were rather annoyed. I was one of those people and I have shopped significantly less at Staples since.
