The current deal for the 10-pack of FEIT 60w replacement CFL's (using 13w) is smoking at Costco!

It's $13.99 with a $10 instant rebate, with (apparently) no limit. Net cost $0.40 each. You pay tax on the whole $14

I got several packs today (8/24) in the Plano, TX store.

I bought some CFB the last time they were on sale and, you're right, they're great. Do you know if these are dimmable?

CFL bulbs are not dimmable.

There are dimmable CFL's out there but they're a little expensive than the regular CFL's. Saw them at Menards and HD.

I recently bought really cheap dimmable CFLs on eBay. As soon as I receive those, will let everyone
now if it was worth spending $20 for 16 bulbs.

was the instant rebate from Costco or your local utility company? If the latter, this would be valid only in Costco's in that area.

This is probably YMMV and probably specific to Costco's near OP. The rebate is probably offered by the local power company. I stocked up last time my Costco offered a $10 instant rebate (from my local power company) but lately it's only been about $2.50 off. I'm just not a big fan of Feit bulbs.

Anybody try any of the Costco stores in Southern California? I can try to call them, but they do not quote any prices over the phone so there is no point.

I find that dimmable cfl's are expensive at HD and Lowes. You can find dimmable cfl's at Target for 9.99 and WalMart for 11.99 (CFL/R30/R20/BR38/R40)

I just built a house and put in all CFL bulbs and now a lot have burned out. Was discussing with the power company and I am not the only one with this problem.

Just an FYI, but check what kind of light these FEIT are. My local Costco has these for this price in what they call "natural white". Maybe it's just me, but they seen to throw off a blue/white light. Not real appealing to me, at least in my living room, etc. Seemed a bit harsh. I have regular lights bulbs called "Reveal" or something like that that are supposed be more of a natural light. These FEIT bulbs and the Reveal bulbs are NOT the same color. The Reveal is much more pleasing than these FEITS. There are "soft white" CFL out there as well. I think my local HD had the "soft white" version for 4 bulbs for about $3. Great deal on these 10 bulb packs if you like the type of light they are. FYI.

I beg to differ - The Costco FEIT WHITE light is fantastic.

Just install it in one room and install any other bulb (ie. "normal" or "soft white" or "yellow" light using CFL or non-CFL) in another room.
Then at daytime look take a good look at some picture/photo with nice colors.
Wait for night and take the same photo into the 2 rooms and check the colors you will be surprised the Costco FEIT WHITE light shows colors more closely to daytime than other lights.

I have the both the GE full length (4 feet) "Daylight full spectrum" tube lamp which is the among the best lamp that mimics sunlight and the costco white light shows very similar colors to the GE daylight lamps. The only problem is this 13w cfl (or 60w yellow lamp) in a full room is not enough for kids to read etc - so you need to have one of those standing lamps that takes 2 or 3 of these bulbs to shed enough light so kids eyes will not get spoilt reading in low light. (but if you use table lamp then the 13w cfl will do).

Anyone know if there is a rebate in NJ (namely in Mt. Laurel)? TIA

I think both NY and CT have similar offering now, not sure about NJ
Got some last week (floodlight type), they need two minute warmup to reach full light output, very dim when first turned on.
