I got a 770is which is a slightly improved version of the 1100is just a couple of months ago. If I had to buy again I'd get the 1100is. I'm tempted to get this deal.

Best deal that I've seen on this camera since I started shopping. Was leaning towards the 870IS, but th is camera was a close second. This deal was enough to seal the deal. $159.95 w/no shipping or tax. Thanks for the heads up!

Well, FORIAMBILL asked how the SD850 compared with the SD1100. It is true that the SD850 has more features than the SD1100. I am simply giving the facts. It is up to him to decide which camera is right for him.
worked for me...make sure put put the correct billing address or it will give an error msg for the promo code. thx op.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong (I haven't been keeping up with the FICO changes) but hard pulls of your credit may adversely affect your credit score.
Last I checked, each time you make a purchase using the Bill Me Later® option, they carry out a hard pull of your credit.
So ask yourself this, is a $10 or $20 savings really worth it?
It might sound a little silly, but carefully think about it.

don't think it's a hard pull, cause it was an instant approval in my case - it's never instant with hard pull - good luck!
received blue sd1100 today from Abe's of Maine warranty card torn out and gone... refurb? returned? whichever, i should have heeded the user reviews. from what i read they have a habit of selling 'new' items that aren't quite that.
Just want to share a less than pleasant experience dealing with Amazon. I placed an order for this camera with 2 other items 7 days ago with their web site showing all items in stock and an expected Shipping date of today (they have almost always shipped the item before their estimated shipping date). I just spoke with them and found that none of the item has been shipped because they ran out of the camera. Their website now shows a 1-2 months of wait time to ship. I gently explained to the nice folks at Amazon that they need to honor their end of the agreement by finding this commonly available (not exotic or special order)camera from their supplier list. It seems really odd that Amazon would run out of this item that is listed at fair market value and then inform inquiring customer that the item MAY NOT be shipped for another 1-2 months !! I am really sad and dismay that Amazon has now deteriorated so much in their customer service.
Just for comparison, I ordered 3 items from Dell and it was delivered in 3 days even for Free Shipping !!
