Awesome camera. Small, fast, and Canon quality.

I got a 770is which is a slightly improved version of the 1100is just a couple of months ago. If I had to buy again I'd get the 1100is. I'm tempted to get this deal.

Best deal that I've seen on this camera since I started shopping. Was leaning towards the 870IS, but th is camera was a close second. This deal was enough to seal the deal. $159.95 w/no shipping or tax. Thanks for the heads up!

How/Why?

Maybe he didn't use all the features of the 850IS, so he may be very happy with a (much smaller) SD1100.

Well, FORIAMBILL asked how the SD850 compared with the SD1100. It is true that the SD850 has more features than the SD1100. I am simply giving the facts. It is up to him to decide which camera is right for him.
