Get Madden 2009 20th Anniversary Edition PS3 for $44.98. Looks like some Targets marked this down earlier last week, but many did their markdowns today.
Went into my local Target in Middletown, NJ and picked one up this AM. There were 3 available when I left.

Hmm… bs… eh hehm… bs …argh hehm Excuse me but this seems like a poor joke. Not only does this retail for $89.99 but it just came out a few weeks ago and is one of the top selling games. There are actually two games in the package. The second game Head Coach debuts in Sept at the $49.99 price. You can't even find Madden '09 alone for less than $50 with a giftcard or something. Sorry, I just don't believe this, it makes no sense… Don't waste your time going in and looking for this bs deal.

I picked one up in Woodland Hills, CA for $62.98 which isn't bad at all, but I will hold onto it just in case it does get cheaper.
Got the last one at the Richmond, VA location near Chesterfield Town Center, had no clearance tag and was still on the shelf marked $89.99, but I asked a clerk to check the price in the system, and sure enough, was $44.98. Don't give up if it's not marked at the price you want, might be worth waiting a couple minutes for a red shirt to run a price check. Hope this helps.
About 5 left @$44.99 in Chicago's Harlem and Irving Plaza Store. Thx!

Whatev, Nryfan. Looks like enough people have found the deal. So, I take back my comments, still doesn't make sense though. What you PS3 fans don't like Sports? wtf? Do I have to go to Japan to get a 360 version at a reasonable price. Well, coneechiwa, here I come then. I'm just jealous.

I got lucky -- of all the Targets within 50 miles, the closest one was the only one with stock!
Picked one up in Palm Desert, Calif. for $44.98... online inventory suggests there's 1 left. Gracias!

It was marked as $62.98 at the Target in Ontario, CA. I was seriously disappointed. But on second thought, I should have had the guy run a price check.
Edit: Called area Target stores and they all have it for $62.98.
Stores in my area that are OOS have the lower price. The ones that have some availability or available, the price is $62 and change. At least for now.

OOS when I search the link provided by OP.
I purchased a $62 and change one from one store, and returned it to the OOS store (for the $62 plus tax back due to my receipt), based on my assumption that the store went OOS that quickly due to the price drop. Went to the instore Starbucks, had a cup of Joe, then went back to the returns desk and said I had changed my mind, and wanted to keep it after all.
Then it rang up at $44.98. YMMV, but it worked for me. I am also lucky that I have 3 targets within 10 miles of me, so it wasn't a big inconvenience to do it this way.

I just checked and the nearest OOS store is about 40 miles away. So I think I'm just going to pick up the anniversary set, and then sell Head Coach on Amazon. That way I'll recoup some of the money.
Head Coach is a bit too detailed of a game for me to play. I do enough detailed work during the day to like something like that.

Picked one up from the Pearland, TX Target for 44.98. No more left but I did return one that I bought at the Westheimer/Dunvale store at full price on Monday. Not sure when it will hit the shelf.
FYI, Westheimer/Dunvale price is 44.98, but Galleria is 89.99 still.

in stock at san bernardino, ca (highland ave store) but at 62.99 they have at least 4 copies. will wait for cheaper price. clearance sticker was on the package in glass video game case in the electronics dept.

I'll second that. I'm still selling it though. Brand new game, who cares if there isn't a jewel case right?

I went to Target on I59 on 8/29/08 and purchased Madden 09 Anniversary for $89.98. I went to Target on 1960 and got a price adjustment and my total price was $44.71. Thanks green for you.

One store near me showed 'Limited Availability' on target.com, and had a price of $44.98, but none in stock. Another store nearby had it for $62.9 or something like that. I'm ordering the regular edition off Newegg for $49.99 w/free shipping, since I don't really care about Head Coach.
