The CashBack definitely works if you use the link I provided. JR has good reseller ratings.

And you can only tell the difference between 720p and 1080p if you look at it from less than 5 feet away. Otherwise, you can't tell the difference.


I've bought a good amount of stuff from J&R and they are pretty quick w/shipping.

I have both this 2008 Panasonic plasma and the 2008 Samsung PN42A450 plasma.

The Panasonic has noticably blacker blacks, but for TV viewing every other PQ parameter I give to the PN42A450.

Also, the Panasonic's remote is more toy-like than that of the average $500 TV. The remote has a dedicated SD card button and a dedicated Viera button while more universally useful features are buried deep under menu navigations.

J and R is a large local store here in NYC. they're ok.. they're reputable...but don't expect great CS on returns and such.
