These are great at the beach with all of the inflatables. However, this model doesn't mention deflating which some of the pumps can do as well.

I've used one of these on our boat for pumping up floats and rafts. Noisy but it works well. Also deflates quickly, which is a plus.

These things are great. We use them to pump our whitewater rafts. We have to top off manually because you can't get a lot of pressure from these and the rafts need to be rock hard, but not a big deal.
Be aware that they're AC-only. You can get quality 12 volt or rechargeable battery ones from Wal-Mart for not much more money.
