ebowalker said:Is this TV wall-mountable? It is, but a word of caution: The mounting holes are VES 75/100mm, they are rather small, and too shallow for even the bolts that came with the TV (that normally hold in the base). When I shopped around for a bracket, the 75/100mm VESA setup seemed to be associated with brackets for screens 32" and smaller. That being said, I mounted mine using a bracket from Monoprice. It's pretty solid so far... but nothing crucial is sitting under that screen. |

wutai012 said:How is this tv on xbox live? Any lag while playing something fast-paced like Halo 3 or COD4? Deal breaker here really. I have a vizio that needs to go to the curb because of gaming lag. No issues for me, and I play those same games. 1080p over VGA looks great. I've had the TV for a month now. |

Just a note regarding the odd pixel patterns I mentioned earlier, for those few (like me) who notice stuff like that, and are considering this screen for computer monitor usage. I was just at Best Buy last night, and I took a good look at the 42" TX model they have there. The TX does not have the same screen as the VX model I have; the TX looks like a normal type of screen in the darks. On the other hand, the "Insignia" brand that BB has, DOES have the same screen type as the Westy VK, with the quasi-hexagonal patterns in the dark areas. Also, a heads up for those near the Thousand Oaks CA Moorpark Road BB: their demonstrator 42" TX is available for about $640 right now (regular price $749). |

The Costco Directv rebate went up to $250. Has anyone tried to return and resubmit to get the extra $100 (I was thinking about returning the TV anyway). |

I have the westy. Picture quality is great I use it also as a monitor for my PC and that also works great. One issue though it has problems switching HDMI sources if you have more than one HDMI sources connected to the TV. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. |

I only have one HDMI source at the moment. How do you switch multiples? Do you just cycle through them using the HDMI button on the remote? (I have the autosource turned off) |

I would go for the Panny. -D Today, Costco had 42" Panasonic at $699, and the Westinghouse nearby at same price. Picture on the Westinghouse was much better, blacks are much better and the clarity... Will pick up a Westy next week. gychang |
