Not bad if you need a really nice printer.

Looks cool, I have never seen this type of printer before. It seems to be similar to laser, in that it uses a drum, but the similarity ends there.

How it Works

Yeah,

I'm taking a plunge with this one because I've read some amazing reviews from users.
Fast impressive detailed graphics.

I set up a xerox phaser for a physician at work and wasn't impressed. Colors weren't that great. I thought it was an extremely interesting concept with the solid ink, but the results weren't that impressive.

We have one at work, print quality is fantastic (for a finance firm). The toners are easy to store and load. It's less waste. Unlike HP color printers, you cannot move this thing unless it powers down for 1 hour or you can damage it. That's because the solid ink is melted.

What I like about this thing is that there are no messy toner cartridges to deal with and the fact that I am not leaving any toner left in the cartridge. Everything is 100% used. I can also keep track of printer usage and control toner costs. With the HP color laser, it seemed that I was always replacing the toner cartridges. It may not be the printer and just the employees stealing the toners to sell on eBay.

What I don't like about it is that I have no cartridge to return at Staples for $3 credit but in the long run, it's better for the environment and more cost effective.

Thanks OP

These printers do work great, i have one in my office and between 2 of us we go through about a 500 pages a week or more, and very rarely have to replace ink, we got ours shipped from Costco.com awhile ago comes with a rainbow pack, and ink in the printer! so they are giving away a second rainbow pack! That's 3000 some odd pages. and color prints on this thing are fantastic! My suggestion is to always leave it on, it has long start up times that waste some ink because of the cleaning process it has to go through during its heating process.
