That doesn't make sense. The XSi is the newer kit, not the XT. Ok, I'm not going crazy for thinking the same thing. |

There is a new XS model, that came out after the XSI. Maybe the model names were confused.... Link |

Link Well I am not positive that the XSi came out after the XS, but the XSi is definitely the higher end model. I would still think that the XSi came out AFTER the XS. |

The XS came our more recently as a means to compete in the "super-cheap" DSLR category. The prices on the XS and XSi are pretty much the same now because the XSi has been out for a while and has had a chance for the newness to wear off a little (and thus the price drop). The XS is due for a pretty significant price drop right before Christmas to make it a popular gift idea. |

You would be incorrect. The XSI was released in May, while the XS was released in July. Ok, well I stand corrected, but that still doesn't change the fact that the XSi is the higher end. |

MSN never showed my 15% CashBack for this camera and after 3 weeks, no replies from filed complaints. This is a crap company, the worst I have dealt with. Back went the camera. Repeat...crap company with no customer service whatsoever. |

40D has ISO3200 and higher pixel density over XSi resulting in better low light performance. But the price of 40D is very close to Nikon D90 with seems like a better camera. I shoot with XTi and Olympus E520, I like the Oly for its better handling and in body stablization and availblity for highy quality, reasonability priced Zuiko lenses like 14-54mm F2.8/2.5 which is every good as $1000 Canon EF 24-104 F4L IS. |
