stop deals that count Cash Back as cost basis

Whats wrong with a cash back deal? Is there any issues with Live.com cash back?

I think the problem is then everything listed in the store is a "hot deal" if you include CashBack deals.

The 62.5% CashBack stores could technically all be considered "hot deals".

Hey, leave it alone. Most people wouldn't have checked Zappos for an Xbox 360. Thanks for the post OP. I'm wondering how close we are to the next MS price drop? I thought it's around the corner (isn't it always)? May sweeten this deal if they keep the 22% CashBack post price drop.

Singling out the best deals which include the CashBack is a good idea. 62% off isn't a good deal until they have something we want at a great price.

do you know if the live.com CashBack is for the product price at checkout or do they give a % based on product price AND shipping? (general question)

Thanks OP, I would never have checked Zappos for an XBOX. Ordered one and your post did save me $67 as I was getting ready to buy at someother dealer.

Why??? CashBack deals are more reliable and easier than rebate deals, and people post those like crazy. Are we no longer allowed to post deals with rebates as well? The OP even put "after Cash Back" in his title..... Move along!

Thanks for posting OP!

as far as i know, the next price drop is on 09/07, which will be bringing the 60GB model down to $299.

In my experience it's just the price at checkout. Shipping has not been included in the total CashBack.

great deal

Just an FYI, I purchased an Elite from Zappos using the current deal (18% actually) and right out of the box, RRoD. Build date was April 2008.

It's running now and I haven't seen it again, but I'm waiting.

Also, Zappo's return policy on electronics sucks. You'll have to go straight to M$ if you RRoD out of the box.

Buyer be warned.

Just an FYI.

Readers be warned.

rjj130 does not know what he/she is talking about.

1) There is no specific Zappo's electronics return policy. It just states if you are not 100% satisfied... so on...
2) Return instructions can be found here http://www.Zappos.com/cs_return.zhtml
a) It states do not return the purchase back to the manufacturer. The site also has free
shipping both ways so even better for the consumer.
b) To exchange an order you should call Zappos.
c) etc...
3) Zappos has had a great customer service track record and it is a shame somebody would post a completed unfounded post.

If you did warranty the console with Microsoft, then you did not follow the correct procedures.

Actually, Trikat, "Any electronic product that has been opened and/or used cannot be returned unless the unit was received defective."

So while he was wrong about the 14 day thing, you are wrong as well.

Actually, I do know what I'm talking about. I'm going by what I was told in both an online chat and a phone call prior to purchase. I decided to take the risk and I am no stuck with my decision.

And as KlineD already said, if opened, no returns. I have looked all over their site for the 14 day thing that KlineD spoke of but cannot find it.

It seems that the gaming hardware comes into and out of stock pretty frequently - so check back a couple of times a day if you're really looking for an xbox/wii/psp/ds. I got the WII sports bundle for $295-22.5% CashBack, =$228.62 free shipping and no tax. The WII's were in stock in the morning, out of stock in the afternoon, and in stock again late last evening.

FYI, they "hold" your order and call you before shipping electronics based on some posts in this forum, but if you call them and select option "2" (order verification dept) they'll "upgrade" you to free 1 day shipping...24/7 phone n umber so you can call them yourself first and speed your order...

Because of the holiday, I'm supposed to receive mine on wednesday.
