Can you signup for the internet service even if you already have high speed and just cancel it? Also how do you know if your bestbuy provides the high speed internet deal? |

These laptops seem to be flying off the shelves. Went to a few Best Buys in my area, and they were already sold out. Great Deal for those who can still find them! |

Best Buy is advertising the HP Compaq CQ50-105NR for $399.99. When you get to the store they tell you that they only have a model for an additional $29.99 that has been "optimized". This is false and deceptive advertising. This is a pure lie, as I was the first person at the store Sunday morning when they opened and this was the line given me. I then went to two additional stores and received the same pack of lies. RUN as fast as you can, don't just walk away from these crooks. |

Worked for me... Of course, that is what I did.... |

I got the Compaq today too, $379 in central California, $279 after Comcast coupon. The computer sales associate rang me up...not a young check out person...and when I showed him the coupon he asked if I had signed up in the store. I said I did it online. He looked carefully at my printout and asked if I had ID. Showed him my driver's license, then he scanned the barcode. Worked fine with no more questions. |

Ok, I am wondering, I used the $100 of code from the acer deal thread. The coupon is for Cox cable, which is not even available where I am. Was suprised it flew, as I had to buy from mighty geek squad cashiers. I hope I don`t get some kind of credit card charge for internet service I have no way to even use. Any thoughts on this? |

Has anyone in Houston successfully bought this computer with the HSI printed coupon (from the Acer thread)? This looks like a VERY good deal.. just curious on whether it worked for others here or not. Thanks in advance. |

Might be able to call 1-800-BESTBUY about the 'No Webcam Issue' and get a Gift Card as compensation (maybe $50). I think the photos show other things not included as well, like an HDMI port that another poster mentioned. |
