720p & poor brightness levels (not that those numbers always mean much), but if you're looking for a cheap 42" LCD, this is about as cheap as it gets.

Where did you get 720p? I see "View Modes: 480i/480p/720p/1080i"

did you just pick one of the numbers?

Resolution (in pixels): 1366 x 768 - over 3 times the resolution of standard definition television

thats 720p...

Click on "video" in the row of thumbnails. They go on and on about this set being 1080p. How do they get away with being so blatantly wrong?

Digital Lifestyle went out of business like 2-3 years ago. And I guess the name was bought. But I bet you there are still some legal issues.

I have the 32" Version of this TV...It's OK. The HSN one is the most current revision with 1080P, 4 HDMI ports, and a swivel stand. I think this would be an OK TV for a bedroom...I didn't expect it to be the quality of my Aquos.

FYI...Fry's/Outpost sells/sold these TVs under the Emprex brand.
