** Instructions

1. First need to select the photo book size.
2. Landscape, M size is the only one with price 12.95, rest are all above this price.
3. Once you selected, it will ask to you install 'photo express creator" application. Click 'install'. Might take ~5 mins.
4. While installing select 'Run the application after installation'.
5. Application will open after installation, select title for your photobook (Optional - $3.99) and background visual.
6. Now add pics to your photobook from your computer or online (Photobucket etc). You can add exact number of pics that fits or less is also OK.
7. Provide shipping address, enter promo code momspaceab81 etc.
8. Finally it shows $0.00, ...wait..not yet over...now all the pics will be uploaded to the server, takes 1-2 mins. Done.
9. You will receive confirmation email from albelli.

This happened to me, it turned out I had "text on the cover page" selected. Check your settings on the cover page and turn off any text if you have it.

Free is tempting but the editing software sxxxs. You may end up wasting time.
I spent an whole hour making it and then the editor randomizes the order of my photos.

If contents and editing is not important and you have enough patience, please try this.

How's the quality? Never heard of the site, before.

What operating system are you using?

Worked for me. I read the reviews and they weren't the best, and I already have a photo company I get my books for, but this was good to throw a little book together for my son to have all his family members that we live away from in...and of course a bunch of silly photos of himself. I will report back how the quality is when I recieve it....still a good deal!

Although a little late, here is a reply from Albelli. In the past days we have been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reaction of many of you to our offer for a free photo book. As our first priority was to make sure that you would be able to order your book, we have not been able to answer the questions that you posted.

Now that we have made sure that all the ordered books are going to be printed in the next few days, please let me answer your questions:

1) Who is Albelli?
As you can read on http://www.albelli.com/thecompany we are truly for real. With over 1 million books printed in the last 12 months, we are one of the largest photo book producers in Europe. This year we decided to bring our experience to the US.

2) What are the conditions of this deal?
The code allows for a free photo book with a value of $ 12.95. Shipping ($ 5.99) is not included. The offer is valid until Sunday September 8 and we allow a maximum of one free book per household. But you are free to forward this offer to your friends and family.
You may elect to buy a larger book, add additional pages, or print a title on the cover. We will simply deduct the $ 12.95 from the total amount.

3) Do I get a confirmation once my order is placed?
You should be getting a confirmation e-mail after your payment has been authorized. Due to high traffic some orders were getting into our back-end systems after some delay. So in some cases you may receive a confirmation email some 24 – 48 hours after you placed the order. If you still have not received a confirmation, please contact our customer service through service@albelli.com .

4) How long will it take for my order to be printed?
Usually we ship within 72 hours after your order has been received. Even though we have received far more orders than anticipated, we still expect that most of the orders will be shipped within 4 working days. You should be receiving an email once your order has shipped.

5) What does the software do?
We are using new Adobe technology (AIR) which requires a small install on your computer. During installation a warning may come up saying that the application requires unrestricted access to your computer. This is needed so you can use images from your hard drive in your photo book. This software is not a Trojan horse, nor do we collect any other data than is needed for printing your photo book.

6) Do the white text boxes appear in the final product?
No, the white text boxes just show the size of the caption. Only the text in the caption box will be printed. If no text has been added, no text will be printed.

7) Problems?
Due to heavy traffic, our website and application may not have been performing as you would expect. We apologize and have already fixed most of these issues, and will continue to address issues as they arise. If you are still having trouble, please contact us through www.albelli.com/help

I emailed them but haven't got back from them yet. I also got an email saying waiting for payment to be applied. So I still don't know if they are going to give me this book for free or not.

OMG.... Don't do it.
I was having a frustrating time on this site last week. I got an email from them this morning about them having a computer glitch with my payment. So called the bank this morning to check my balance...They charged my account 17 times. A grand total of $678.47. I can not find a phone to contact them. I wrote back and waiting for a responds.

Received my order yesterday and am very happy for free. They did miss out on one page though - which turned out blank. The print quality is certainly not the very best but am asking too much for free. Shutterfly has worked out better in terms of print quality for me. But next time, am gonna give mpix and Adorama a try.
