Here is a decent write up from Cnet. Looks like a good price for a low-end 46" LCD HDTV. And being from Costco makes the deal even nicer with their 90-days no-questions-asked return policy and automatic extra year on the warranty.

Thanks, OP!

Good review at tigetdirect. Mixed review at Amazon. Anyway, the 90 days money back 2 year extended warranty should cover most of the issues. By the way, it is 46" not 47" as stated in the title.

how would this compare to a 37" sharp aquos? Would it be a lot worse?

for Tv watching .. probably a lot worse. The Sharp would most likely win out with scalign and deinterlacing as well as build quality. For video games at 1080p and PC usage probably not much different. A lot of the smaller Sharps have much lower contrast ratios than their larger cousins.

So, TV Gurus: how would this Sceptre compare to the Westinghouse 42" at Costco for $699?

This tv is now $899! Getting hot!
