These last for years outside in the rain and work verywell. The grate will rust in half before the kettle part even rusts at all. No comparison with cheapie charcoal grills. Add cheap filler use $20 off $100 Bill me later option. |
They have the "silver" version which is basically the same but without the high capacity ash catcher for $65 w/ FSSS. |
I bought one of these to replace my old propane grill and I love it. If you get a charcoal grill, I highly recommend getting the Chimney Starter too. It lights charcoals quickly and you don't get the nasty lighter fluid taste. |
I bought a Weber 'platinum' instead of 'gold', years back for my dad, thinking he'd like it though he usually uses propane. I told him that I got it for $50 from Target for 75% off the $200 list. He thanks me and turns around and sells it... for $50! |
It sounds like silver version would be the way to go for me if I didn't live in an apartment where charcoal and gas pits aren't allowed. As such, I opted for a Foreman outdoor grill. It works surprisingly well, but it will be never be the same as good ol charcoal. |

Why leave it out in the rain when you can get a cover at Lowes for around $7. That should give you another 10 years of service at least. Mine is 15 years old and when I cleaned it up and put a new grill in it for the 4th, everyone asked if it was new. |
imo, SIlver vs Gold, they're not that much differnce. |
for this price almost $100, I rather go with weber baby q gas grill. |

Lowes is selling it for $89.99 |

This grill cooks food better/tastier, the Q is much more convenient. I went from a house to a condo, thus the one touch to the q. Both are great!! |
