Be cautious, the original was only for DOS. So there may be compatibility issues.

Never played the any of the games in the series - will check it out if I'm bored. I wonder if my computer meets the hardware requirements...

Hopefully (which they should) they have made it compatable with XP since my original Red Alert CDs are no longer working with XP.

oh my gosh, I love this game. I beat it though, only took me forever. Didn't like the following versions though (to futuristic, I like WII era games)

Sweet, needed a clean copy. My Red Alert CDs are so scratched up and no longer work.

There is (and has been) a patch for the origional C&C and Red Alert. I have had it installed for years on XP and Vista

They made a patch when they released that giant mega game pack. But it felt buggy and slow.

Command and Conquer Decade is what you are talking about. I have no problem playing any of those games on my XP laptop or Vista desktop. Like I said I already own Decade so I have RA but still what a great game and great find! I remember playing in Clans and even making my own RA website

If I remember correctly this was the first computer (non-console) game that I really got into. Very fun game.

If I remember correctly about this also, it I thought it can be run in "compatibility mode" on XP to run properly....but I'm not positive on that.

I love this game!

Does this mean that they are actually still charging for this game? It's great, don't get me wrong... but it is almost 13 years old!

Will bring back some good memories

If you need to run a DOS environment, there is a quirky but very effective tool available for free download called DOSBOX. Worked great when my Son asked me to get "Full Throttle" from Lucasarts running.
