I've used the DVD-R's before and they were Riteks which are considered 2nd Class Media. I haven't had a problem with them using my 3 year old burner. $14.99 is a good deal. Sale is 8/31 thru 9/6.

I saw the same thing. I take to mean that any TDK brand is considered 1st class, and as such I just cameback form purchasing the 100pack from OM. Certainly worth the .05 cents per disk to me.

More likely you spent more money for the same or lesser quality media. I've probably burned thru 500+ of these OD discs, and buy them every time a similar price like this comes around.

It comes up at 49.99 for me? Is it regional?

The link in my post is for the item description only. You have to buy the item in-store to get it for $14.99.

OD changed the item page a day or two ago. People on here and on SD were buying $50 worth to get it shipped free by buying them online.

Tried using these office depot branded dvd-r 100 pack discs in a samsung sh-183l recorder and a older liteon recorder burnt at 16x dvd -r speed then tested with nero cd speed 4.7.7.15... anyhoow burnt the first two out of spindle and disc quality scanned them at 8x on my lite on recorder and they both failed miserable at and below 50 percent after i used the program to also create the test disc.

They were ritekf1 media code

then tried the dual layer ones recordered at 4x speed in my lite on recorder and they failed miserably below 40 percent. dont purchase save your money they are like defective discs they are selling to get rid of them or way too old ones that had in warehouse.. the dual layers were media code ritekd01..

Ah, so because your equipment can't burn them properly they're bad media? LMAO.

According to the Sale AD this was a 2 day sale on the front page items, Sunday and Monday only.

hey quickndirty they work so good for you send me one and ill scan it properly with my lite on drive and compare that scan to A+ media tayio yuden 02 and show ya its crap ive been burning dvd-r's ever since they came out...

and i posted a reply for the first time ever on fat wallet to let customers know youll probably have issues and its not worth it, the 100 pack dvd-r or +r deal they have at Staples for 25 buxs isnt bad because they scan at around 80-93 percent quality and are cmc mag a03 discs that work better than these Office Depot crap discs
