Was browsing through Fry's, and spotted this one. Didn't find this here with search, hope it's not yet posted. If it is, please don't kill me

CF card

S/H 5$ for up to 7 units, after that only few dimes more, so shipping kills the best of this deal for only one, but if you go for several, it's not that bad anymore. Also free in-store pickup is available.

I hate MIR deals, so that's why I like this one.

It's a decent deal.

looks like a good deal for 4 gb (for pickup) - my only concern would be on the read/write speeds for dSLR use - does anyone have useful comments on this? Does anyone have this card?

I have two of these 4GB cards. They work fine in my Nikon D300 shooting in high resolution RAW mode, however if I were shooting lots of sports, I'd probably choose a faster card. For normal speed shooting, they're great and very cost effective.

8GB card is $25.99 +S/H

Just came back from Fry's, and they actually had also the 16GB for 49.99, so each size is more or less same price/GB. 16GB is 44.99 online, btw.

Quick test with my Canon XTi, settings RAW+Fine JPEG (~15MB/pic), 1/500 continuous shooting. Old card A-Data 120X took 9 pictures before it needed pause, this new 60X card was able to go up to 8 pics, so good enough. If I'd seen the 8GB earlier, I'd go for that instead of 2x 4GB. Too late
