Site is listed under MSI site and was originally an eBay power seller.

The 6-cell version is very difficult to find anywhere under 600, but the 3-cell can be had for ~500 on Newegg.

MSI Wind reviewed better than EEE PC 1000h. Text

Just an FYI, there are no reviews on ResellerRatings for frostycomputers.com (and I never heard of 'em). They are "official" though which is cool.

Red flag?

I don't think it's quite a red flag. Check the link on the left-hand side of the page, it's an eBay power seller, which would explain the same admin/contact/billing info. Text

They're also listed along with Newegg, zzf, Amazon, Buy.com, and others as an official seller of MSI Laptops. http://www.msimobile.com/WhereToBuy.aspx

I was mainly looking at the registered date (just a few months ago). I guess it's okay if he just started up his own website.

This is not the 6 cell battery one, but the 3 cell battery. I emailed frostycomputers to confirm.

There doesn't seem to be many MSI Winds around, which is too bad..

I've heard it's the best of the current crop of netbooks.

But the Acer Aspire One is pretty close and has been available at Best Buy until it was sold out.

Spam-tacular!

whats too bad is that bestbuy only carries the wind online. If they had it in store with the HSI coupon, that would be cool

I know this is a MSI Wind link, but I checked out the 6-cell WIND along with a 6 cell 10" Eee and Acer Aspire-1 xP (side by side, for 2-3 hours), and ended up buying both the Eee and Acer (but not the WIND), because the construction seem a lot better. The WIND's keyboard felt flimsy, did not offer good feedback, and was not as easy to type on as the 10" Eee. Perhaps it was a fluke because it just came out. Anyhow, if you want max battery life go with 6-cell Acer. Otherwise, really try to type on the WIND before deciding.

I bought the wind a few weeks ago. At first I wasnt sure I was going to keep it but it grew on me. The keyboard is nearly perfect for a netbook. The issue I had was just the screen resolution. All the 10" netbooks have the same 1024X600 res which is fine except many websites are built for 1024X768 which makes it somewhat cumbersome to navigate. But that is an issue with all netbooks. Also, and I am sure this was a fluke, but my wind stopped functioning off of battery power (it only turns on when plugged in) so I just ended up sending it back for a refund. Still a good little netbook in my opinion.

Hi, i bought a laptop from www.Frostycomputers.com .
Ben Hsu, that is the person that is beside that web page, sent me a laptop with problems. I sent him for being repaired on warranty. Three months has passed and he hasnt send me my laptop. He doesn't answer to my e-mails, Skype or phone calls.
Be careful with him because you can loose your laptop and money. And don't know why he is actin like this, i paid for the laptop in the same moment i win the bid. Thanks and be careful.

For those concerned about voiding the warranty if you upgrade the ram/hd, please read:

Just a heads up about upgrading ram/hdd and voiding warranty. I emailed MSI with a complaint about that and got a reply assuring me this is not the case:

<RaymondB@msicomputer.com>

Yes, you are allowed to upgrade the ram and the HDD as you wish. It will be still covered under warranty.

Further conversation:

me: "Is there a public notice somewhere on the website? Or will the company be announcing it? I believe there are stickers on the inside of the laptop indicating the "void warranty" issue."

Raymond: "The RMA upgrade policy has already approved, but will not announce publicly due to original agreement with 3rd party vendor. You may break the sticker without voiding the warranty."
