Excellent deal on the 8800 GTS but a $100 rebate? Ouch! It's a EVGA rebate so you should get it though.
Personally, I'm tempted by the $49 AR 9600gso.
Basically the same as the 8800GS, but 10 dollars less. Only a two year warranty, but how much of a warranty do you need for a fifty dollar card anyhow?

Sold! Just picked up the 9600gso.
Does anyone know if the 8800GS is a "low profile" video card? I have a Dell Inspiron D531S and it will only take low profile cards.
your 9600gso link doesn't seem to work. Did a search for 9600 and it didn't come up either. Already gone?

I wouldn't bet on that, just from experience. I send one in for my 8500 GT 1gb and was denied due to an invalid UPC code when there was only 1 UPC code on the package. I'm still fighting the rebate company on that since May.
9600GT Superclocked is going for $59AR, ends tonight.
