Have been lurking for a good lappy deal for a machine which included a webcam.

OD has the subject item "on sale" for $724.99 - $125 OD MIR - $50 HP MIR - barely warm.
Fry's advertised this model for $549 with the $50 HP MIR, after a $200 IR.

Tried to PM today at two different OD's today, and was successful on the second attempt.

• AMD Turion X2 TL-60
• 200GB hard drive
• Built-in wireless 802.11bg
• 3GB of DDR2 memory
• Burns DVDs and CDs
• Built-in webcam

Plus tons of great features, including a TV tuner and wireless remote

For those in the San Diego area - worked in Mission Valley, no go at Morena

Has always worked for me in the past, and there is nothing in their T's and C's to invalidate it. OD rebates have gotten MUCH BETTER of late, and a phone call quickly and easily resolves any issues.

Neither attempted to call; according to the person I spoke with at Fry's (first called to determine stock status myself), this item will soon be clearanced, so OD may be motivated to move them. They will also offer to optimize the laptop for you on the spot - for "only" $99.

What is the SKU? I called the one in City of Industry and they do not have DV6910. Only DV6912.

Haha thats the Frys I go to too and they sold out on Saturday. Shank, you're very lucky they didn't call. Frys had a crazy deal today, Sony Vaios Intel Core T5750 3 GB memory 250 GB hard drive for $599. Too bad they sold out too.

Can you substantiate this for OD? Is generally the case for CC, but I have never had an OD rebate rejected due to PM.

This is a huge YMMV.
All ODs near me try their best to deny a PM to other stores.
Great deal for those who can get it.

All I am getting at Office Depot Link is a dv6910us for $574 after all rebates.

Can someone please confirm? If I could get that for $374, I am probably going in for two at least!

Not true. My rebate was flagged "item returned...." and rebate rejected.

Did you PM AFTER the initial purchase? Did you call to correct? OD tracks the transaction number printed on the receipt, so if the CSR did a return and re-purchase, it would show up as item returned. In such a case, a phone call to the fulfillment center should have resolved the issue.

got my rebate back in < 30 days after OD PM CC for me on this same laptop 1 month ago.

btw, no TV Tuner on this. You have to buy it as an extra add on.
