I am not trying to disappoint you. I said I thought it was bad vendor so the web master deleted the post last night. I just guess. I want to buy this at a good price, but just don't know what's beneath this iceberg.

No, Butterfly.com is a merchant selling through Buy.com
I bought a Canon SLR from Butterfly and it was a smooth transaction. They called to confirm my order via CC and tried to add a few accessories - I said "no thanks" and the camera arrived 3 days later. When I called back for the telephoto lens a week later, they gave me a discount of 5% and there was no follow call that time. I'd recommend them, but, as with any online vendor you don't feel totally comfortable with, pay with a CC that has a good "dispute" policy!
Geez. I feel like I blinked and prices came down again. A TV this size from Samsung (which I and probably others consider to be the preeminent TV brand...and 1080p, for under $1500. Three cheers for a slumping economy!

I agree because they also have a glut of Flat Panels right now because they didn't adjust production when the economy slowed down. I know you can always wait for a better deal, but this is a significantly better deal if you wait until bf.

Yes I did. Confirmation arrived within the hour. My Live account page shows the CashBack of $188.00 is in a pending state.

are you saying they are not honoring the 11.25% CashBack ?
I placed an order (for a different TV) yesterday morning. It says "pending approval" in their order tracking page. So far no emails from them. No sales call either.
Anyone got sales call?

I placed an order for the 46 inch, it actually went through and I see the 11.25% Cash Back on my account. Unfortunately the order was canceled because they're OOS... The sales guy tried to sell me a Sony 46V3000 for $1500, but I didn't bite.

Their website still lists these tvs as in stock...maybe they didnt want to do the 11.25%. I noticed the CashBack changed to 4.5%
