Is Oregon also a city in China?
Nice price, but doesn't display humidity (if that is important to you).
In California I have found that it may take a couple of weeks for the atomic clock to get set.

OK, not made in Oregon, but by an Oregon company...

Sort of... the company is still based in Oregon but it is now owned by a Hong Kong conglomerate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_Scientific
does anybody know if this lets you change the timezone or disable daylight savings?
It sucks when you're in an area without daylight savings and your atomic clock is off by an hour.
I don't receive the atomic clock signal where I live so you probably can do something to block it.
My 2-cents on these kinds of clocks. I have one with an A/C adapter because I didn't want to keep buying batteries. Instructions say that you should use lithium batteries in the outdoor remote if you have cold weather. I got a set and the thermometer worked in -20 degree weather just fine. When it got warmer I pulled out the lithiums and replaced w/ alkalines. Just like snow tires ![]()
I have seen these from time to time at Lowes with crazy silly markdowns, sometimes 80% or so. This has been on and off for at least a year, so if you are at Lowes, check their stash of Oregon Scientific and see if there are markdowns. I've bought a bunch over there and use them as presents.

Target also often puts the older models on clearance.

Cold weather, like when it goes below 70 degrees F? (I love California!)
I've got a 2 of these and 3 different sensors. This one's kinda dumb since the sensor has a screen but doesn't display the temperature (like say I'm outside on my deck and want to see the temp).
I've kept one of my sensors in a chest freezer (about -15F) with cheap alkaline batteries and seems to do fine transmitting.
