I have an AMEX Business Platinum card that has been giving me 5% Cash Back on gasoline purchases. However, I got a notice in the mail that this will drop to 3% starting Oct. 15. Will the AMEX/Costco business card stay at 5%, or drop to 3%?

My wife just got a mail offer for $100 in costco cash cards after first $500 purchase but we already have costco business card so we passed this offer.

$20 for a new credit card application does not seem like enough to have an additional credit check, many cards out there give $100 and more.

Do you have an online version of the $100 costco cash for spending $500? ^_^ That seems tempting too. ^_^

I was just approved by AE for the Costco Business True Earning card. However, I told them that my business has been closed for 3 months already and they still approved it. I have a concern though, that if I continue to use this card without an active company/business, will I get penalized later by the card company or business/tax related institutions? Because, it feels like its easy for them to say, “we approved you, but why didn’t you point that your company is inactive and continue to use the card?” Please advise.

You're fine, you don't really need a business to have a business card. This is secured by your personal credit.

Wish I would have saw this a few days ago. My application just got approved (applied w/ costco membership last week). Probably no way of getting in on this deal now

We've posed this question to our contact at American Express and they are not aware of any plans to reduce the Costco 5% Cash Back on gas at this time. However, they could not rule out that such an action might take place in the future.

Sorry, no online link for it, it was a mail solicitation, probably individually tailered.

i'm sure they are paying at least $100 and fatwallet is keeping the rest. however, that didn't stop me from doing it, and we get a $25 credit on the card.
