Tom Tom and Garmin are the best GPS manufactuers. They are considered "first-class". Mio is in "second class" along with Magellan.
But if you bought it from that BestBuy.com deal for $149.99, don't return it. The Mio has text-to-speech! The ability to pronounce street names is very important (worth maybe an extra $30)!
There is no TTS in this device.

if this can't be hacked then its worthless. tomtom has one of the world's largest group of hax0rs to keep things up 2 date.
