How is this a great deal if you know someone in the US? It would seem (if you could get the price) that it would be a good deal if you lived in the US and knew someone in Canada who could turn around and ship it to you for less than the Dell US site...

Now the real question is, why on earth is the US model $300 + more for the same dang monitor just over the board...I mean, we have all heard of NAFTA right? Apparently not Dell...

I meant if you knew someone from Canada.

I am close to the canadian border so I can get this monitor shipped to a friend and I am going to canada this weekend to pick it up.

599 for an ultra sharp 27 inch monitor is a great deal in my opinion

cant comment on the price difference between US / Canada

Yes, it is a real good deal, that is somewhere over $300 off after conversion rate differences...The only real factor, which I don't know if you have considered, is that Canada has huge "sales tax" rates (forget what they call them up there), which are pretty significant. You should check that first.

I'd like to get one at this price, for sure. Shoot these things are only like $35 to ship.

LOL apparently no one here on FW ever shops Dell's Canadian site. If they did they would already know that prices quoted on Dell's Canadian site have ALWAYS been in US dollars and NOT Canadian dollars as one might expect. The conversion at Can tax rate is done at checkout based on the shipping address. At the current US dollar to Can dollar conversion rate that puts this monitor around $956 Can or roughly $43 less the US list price!

Sorry but how did you arrive at $956?

Shipping to Vancouver the entire order came out to 686 with shipping included.

Not a shabby deal at all

Dell canada does not ship to the US

I have a friend that lives in Vancouver, BC and I happen to be going there next weekend so i can pick it up

This monitor came out to 640 USD shipped (it was around 680 CAD).

640 for a 27 inch Ultra Sharp to me is a great deal
