I have a USB/IDE/SATA hard drive enclosure. Can I put this drive into the enclosure?

If you consider the logic, wouldn't the drive you send in, when repaired, become a refurbished drive if it was then sent back to you anyway? They are doing you a favor when you receive the replacement when you don't have to wait for the actual drive to be repaired...

Cant wait 'til 1TB drives come down to $55 FS!
