T-Mobile rebates are 100% flaky, i have sent them the rebate documents 3 times now after doing an online submission first time and sending the paperwork to the address i was being told to in the online rebate submission process.
there was an entire thread worth of people who had to go through BBB and get their money back for the rebate. I dont think its worth the hassle if you are really willing to risk and get the phone for about $30 if the rebate check never shows up

I had to fight to get my rebate. I will NEVER use T-Mobile again. I strongly suggest you avoid these morons. When I wrote to the President of the company.. I got a response from some VP telling me he would give me air time in lieu of the money. His exact words... take it or leave it.. this is a final offer. I got my cash... do a google search of T-Mobile and rebates. You can start a class action suit quite easily with all the unhappy customers. I hope they fired that VP.
I don't know why you guys ran into that problem. I thought Tmobile rebate is one of the best ones. I did it for about 6 times now and got my rebate after 2-3 weeks.
I filled a BBB and I still did not get the rebate last time.. Tmobile claimed the phone was already free as they gave $25 worth card rajthebam said: not trying to tc guys but last time i bought one of these, i had to file BBB complaint to get my rebate....just as an FYI before you click away....

I second this. I was assured twice but never saw my $30 and I stopped wasting my time. So yes beware. If you think for $30 it is a good deal then go for it and if you get the rebate then it is a sweet deal indeed.
Just a quick note that the AT&T store has Nokia 2610 refurb's for $9.99 each and if you go through dealking or someplace like that you get $20 back per phone....ordered 2 a while back cause I needed an at&t sim to test my phone was unlocked and was cheaper to buy the refurb then a sim kit. You should note that these can only be unlocked by the PROVIDER....the free calculator's don't work...the dealexteme smartsim has been verified to be a workaround... "http://www.DealExtreme.com/details.dx/sku.12167" and it's $8.

Guys, the online fill-in rebate form asks for the 10 digit T-Mobile phone number and the 15 digit IMEI. Where do I get all of two numbers from? Is this mean I have to activate the phone first? Thank you for your input.

*10-Digit T-Mobile # (xxx) xxx-xxxx: *15-Digit IMEI #In order to receive your rebate, you do need to activate it. You can buy a $10 Prepaid or something and use it up. After that, you can do what ever you want with the phone (replace your old phone ....ETC.). Imei number is some where in the menu's.

I called T-Mobile to cancel my order, and the CSR told me that I could not cancel it. She said that when I received the package, ship it back. That is so lame ! This is so wrong. How do you guys cancel your order?

The problem with previous rebates was that the rebate was not advertised on the website but people sent it in anyway. The rebate stated that it was only valid from authorized retailers. T-Mobile claimed that T-Mobile.com purchases were not included, so people had to fight to get their rebates. The current rebate is advertsied on the website and specifically states that it is valid for purchase at T-Mobile.com, so there should be no problems. My T-Mobile rebates have always been paid extremely fast.

I placed my order of Nokia 2610 on T-mobil dotcom on 06/06/08 when this $30 rebate WAS advertised online (free phone AR with a free $25 prepaid refill card) T-mobil rebate center has denied my rebate twice. Called them this AM, customer agent created a new tracking ID and assured me this time my rebate will be sending out in 4-6 weeks. Will see.
[btw, t-mobil mistakenly sent me three (3) $25 prepaid refill cards with that Nokia 2610 ]

Just for your information, last time I did it, I never received my rebate. They waited 3 months before processing my rebate which was sent 3 days after I placed my order, then told me that the rebate period had expired.

My mistake then. It was the previous deal (probably in Jan) that everyone had so much trouble with where it wasn't actually advertised. However, your rebate form did not say it was valid at T-Mobile.com. Yes, they screwed up. Since the current rebate form does say T-Mobile.com, I wouldn't expect any trouble with the rebate center. YMMV and good luck to all.
